The sitcom of the summer, Hulu’s Difficult People has barely been talked about since its premiere earlier in August, and is even harder to find buried under reality shows and cooking competitions within the Hulu app. Unfortunate, since the Billy Eichner and Julie Klausner-starring show (Klausner also created the series, which is produced by Amy Poehler) is the funniest thing currently able to be viewed on your screen of choice.

The show follows the awkward and grueling journey of the starring comedic duo as they navigate the troubled waters of stand-up in New York City. Eichner and Klausner lend each punchline a caustic wit – “What about a Fraggle Rock reboot except all the fraggles are trans?” “You think that’s too close to Looking?” – that never pulls its punches and will make you believe in the pair’s co-dependent friendship before the head-spinner of an opening scene crashes to a guffaw-inducing close. Short sell: it’s You’re the Worst meets Broad City starring the guy from all of your favorite Parks and Recreation gifs. It was just renewed for season two, so if there’s any justice in the world, everyone will be talking about it in a year. Start binging now.
