The Walking Dead: Catch Another Sneak Peek Of Sunday’s Premiere

Ahead of Sunday's premiere, AMC has dropped yet another sneak peek of The Walking Dead season 8, which finds Daryl Dixon facing a sea of walkers.

The Walking Dead season 8 is now so close we can almost smell the rotting flesh wafting up from AMC’s sea of undead walkers.

It’ll kick off with the super-sized “Mercy” on October 22nd, and in order to give budding fans a sneak peek of what’s to come, AMC has unleashed another tense clip from season 8’s premiere. Opening with a shot of Morgan surveying the scene, Lennie James’ gruff survivor then reunites with his allies – namely Carol and Daryl Dixon – as they begin to formulate the next part of their plan.

And just as we’re beginning to think that the silence is deafening, a horde of walkers marches into view, leaving Daryl with no choice but to stay behind in order to spring the trap – providing this is the same scene included in season 8’s other trailers, which see Norman Reedus’ character speeding away from an explosion on his trusty motorbike.

Perhaps more so than anyone else, Daryl Dixon will be thirsting for revenge once The Walking Dead season 8 gets going. Screw the half-hearted attempts at diplomacy; Daryl is ready to take matters into his own hands, which can only spell danger for Negan and the Saviors. Revenge is a dish best served cold, and with rumblings that season 8 will bring a sense of closure to the whole Negan saga, we won’t be too surprised if Mr. Dixon is the one to kill off Jeffrey Dean Morgan’s antagonist.

War is (almost) upon us, folks, so batten down the hatches and get ready for The Walking Dead‘s return. Expect “Mercy” to set the wheels in motion this Sunday, October 22nd, and if it’s more coverage you’re after, you can have a gander at our thorough review of season 8’s premiere, the “most ambitious” instalment in AMC’s zombie saga to date.
