Although Thor and his hammer, Mjolnir, are synonymous to mainstream moviegoers, it may surprise some to learn that he and his favorite piece of hardware have actually been separated for several years in the comics. But when The Unworthy Thor #5 hits stands next month, a significant stride will be taken toward arriving back at the status quo.

Long story short, Nick Fury whispered something into the Son of Odin’s ear a while back, causing him to be unworthy of wielding his great hammer. While nobody outside of the Marvel bullpen knows what those words were, all we can confirm is that they weren’t sweet nothings.

Not long ago, it was revealed when the House of Ideas would lift the lid on one of their best kept secrets and, thanks to some official details straight from the source, we can confirm that we’ll get some answers in a few short weeks.
