Gearbox Software has released a hefty patch across both Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel and its revamped, HD big brother Borderlands: The Handsome Collection. Available from today, it’s the latter title that will receive the biggest patch of the lot, with the update weighing in at a rather hefty 7.7GB for The Handsome Collection on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
According to the exhaustive patch notes, the reason for the eye-watering size is due to the nature of the patch itself, which has been tailored to target a number of performance-improving bugs. As a matter of fact, early reports are stating that the download size for the PS4 version of The Handsome Collection comes in at approximately 9GB in size. Better ensure your Internet router doesn’t have a cap before firing up the download.
Aside from those technical fixes, fans can expect a handful of new features to make their way into the open-world shooter, including the ability to customize the light bar on the DualShock 4 to correspond with the action on screen. As for Xbox One, Gearbox has noted that there will be new unlockable head gear and other customizations as well.
