Developer Arrowhead is ensuring that PlayStation owners are continuing to fight the good fight in a big to salvage Super Earth, after the studio released yet another free batch of DLC for Helldivers entitled Masters of the Galaxy.
Ramping up the already challenging difficulty, the expansion will deploy today across PlayStation 4, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita, adding in Master units to all three villainous factions. The creepy-crawler Bugs will receive a towering Hive Lord, while the Cyborg and Illuminate races will welcome the Siege Mech and Great Eye, respectively.
Don’t fret over this new challenge, though, for Arrowhead has ensured that a new wave of trophies will also launch in tandem with the content pack. You may get blown to smithereens on a barren alien planet, but at least you’ll have the award to prove your, er, bravery.
Here’s a list of what to expect in Master of the Galaxy.
- New trophies
- New Bug “Hive Lord” Enemy Master
- New Cyborg “Siege Mech” Enemy Master
- New Illuminate “Great Eye” Enemy Master
Alongside the announcement, the developer also noted that a physical version of Helldivers will be released next month. Due on August 18, the Super-Earth Ultimate Edition will bundle together both Masters of the Galaxy, the previous Turning Up the Heat expansion, along with a whole host of extras and a dynamic theme for PlayStation 4.
Master of the Galaxy will deploy for all three versions of Helldivers later today, while those looking to pick up the physical version of Arrowhead’s wonderfully addictive
