Controversy magnet Mel Gibson allegedly exposing $34 billion trafficking operation in 4-part documentary

Now this is definitely something nobody could have seen coming.

Calling Mel Gibson a polarizing presence would be selling it very short, with the two-time Academy Award winner and fallen A-list superstar’s mere existence enough to put people off an entire project.

That was very recently shown to be the case with The Continental: From the World of John Wick, with countless fans of the Keanu Reeves-fronted action franchise immediately turning their noses up at the episodic prequel based entirely on Gibson’s involvement. He’s not going to be troubling any major productions for a while – at least not in front of the camera – but his latest rumored venture behind it is one that’s destined to stir up a hornet’s nest of controversy.

According to various reports, Gibson has been working on a four-part documentary series set to dive deep into the exposing of a $34 billion child trafficking ring, with claims touting that he’s not going to hold back when it comes to naming billionaires, high-profile figures in various industries including Hollywood, and even the country of Ukraine.

Now, to say that this project – which admittedly hasn’t been officially confirmed or even announced as of yet – has the potential to cause widespread scandal would be putting it lightly, especially with an already-divisive figure like Gibson steering the ship. However, just to reiterate again, there’s no concrete evidence from Gibson or his team that such a thing even exists.

We probably shouldn’t have to explain at this point that social media is already on the cusp of a minor meltdown at the suggestion of such a potentially incendiary documentary prospectively coming down the pipeline, but it’s not as if Mad Mel doesn’t court backlash and wildly differing opinions wherever he goes and whatever he does, so it’ll be water off a duck’s back to him if it turns out to be legit.
