A popular TikTok fashion influencer from Mexico has sadly passed away aged 23 just days after posting a cryptic video to her millions of followers showing her crying in clown make-up.
On August 29, Marian Izaguirre made a worrying post to her 4.1 million followers on TikTok. The video in question features the 23-year-old dressed in clown make-up and is accompanied by the song Porque te vas, a Spanish pop song from the 70’s about heartbreak and the parting of lovers. Izaguirre can be seen visibly crying during parts of the video adding to the concerning nature of the video.
The caption underneath the video also featured a line from the song which has seen a resurgence on TikTok as of late. Translated, the line reads “All the promises of my love will go with you because you are leaving.”
Marian Izaguirre is reported missing
A short few days after the video was posted, on September 1, Izaguirre was reported missing by her family. It took five days for police to finally find her in a hotel room in Morelia, Mexico as per PEOPLE.
Izaguirre was rushed to hospital although the Michoacán attorney general’s office confirmed her unfortunate passing on September 12th. The cause of the young content creator’s death is currently unconfirmed although officials cited health complications which ultimately led to her becoming brain dead in the hospital. Shortly after her death, her family gave permission for the donation of her organs.
However, fans of Izaguirre were still left with the mystery of her final video. What happened to her between posting and being found in the hotel by authorities?

The final video from Marian Izaguirre currently has over 20 million views on TikTok, with many flocking to the 33-second clip to pay their respects. “rest in peace Marian Izaguirre, lost an angel,” wrote one fan, “may God rest your beautiful soul,” added another.
Of course, many wanted to know what happened to the popular influencer, especially considering the cryptic nature of her final video. While some speculated that she took her own life, many cited the illness that was mentioned by authorities. While she may not have taken her own life, the choices made within her video almost suggests she knew it would be her final post.
Whatever the case, Izaguirre’s video is somewhat haunting knowing that it was her final post. The rest of her content primarily focused on vlogging and fashion which she evidently found a great deal of joy in making.
