A woman named Mer Dorman said in her TikTok video that she thinks she is almost done with eating out. She explained that every time they do, she feels underwhelmed by the food and overwhelmed by how much it costs.
She said Hayes, who is said to be her husband, was craving a cheeseburger, so they went to Five Guys. Dorman described the order as two cheeseburgers, two fries, and two shakes.
She claimed that they did not even want the shakes and that the employee kept pushing them after both said no. Dorman stated the bill came to $70 and that she had no idea it would cost that much.

Dorman said the food was not even good. She claimed she could not see the meat because of all the cheese and swore it was Cheez Whiz or spray cheese. “It wasn’t even good,” she said. “It literally was not even good. It wasn’t good at all. Not at all. Never again.” Her experience highlights broader concerns about restaurant quality and pricing, as a former Chili’s server recently exposed how frozen food and strict policies can impact the dining experience.
A version of the clip shared on X by Wall Street Apes includes a narrator looking at Dorman’s video on a laptop. The narrator said the woman was really spot on and that nothing tastes good anymore, while everything tastes completely mediocre, and the prices are outrageous.
He pointed to comments saying that nothing has been the same since COVID in all facets of life, especially food, and that one person felt underwhelmed, broke, and that their stomach hurt for the next three days.
The narrator stated that everything has gone so downhill, especially food, and called Five Guys in particular outrageous. The screen showed a burger and fries photo with a receipt overlaid. The receipt listed one bacon cheeseburger for $12.49, one regular soda for $2.89, and one little fry for $5.19. It showed a $20.57 subtotal, $1.34 tax for a $21.91 total, plus a $2.19 tip that made the authorized amount $24.10.
The narrator said there is no way to justify $24.10 for a burger, fries, and a soda. He added that he does not care what the quality is supposed to be and that this has been allowed to become normalized.
