Woman brings her attitude into Best Buy looking for a mic and a projector. Then staff help her out anyway: ‘Wow, I learned a lot just now’

She tells one worker he is just standing there doing nothing

A woman’s trip to Best Buy took an unexpected turn after she said employees were giving her attitude instead of simply helping her find the products she needed. A TikTok video posted by Must See Tv (@creativemedia91) has drawn 2.4 million views and more than 98,100 likes, with viewers debating whether the shopper was right to confront the staff or simply being difficult.

In the video, a woman is seen inside a Best Buy store asking a male staff member for help. She said, “Hi, can you show me where your microphones are? I, he said to come by the Apple. I don’t see the mics anywhere.” The staff member replied that he was helping other customers and asked for a few minutes.

The woman then said, “Point direction, I can go look.” The staff member pointed and mentioned that the Blue Yeti microphones were behind the printers and to the left. She thanked him and later said in the video, “Took that little second to tell me where it’s at.”

The woman walked through the store and said, “Oh my gosh, this place is a freaking zoo. They tell you to go somewhere here and I still don’t see any microphones.” She approached another male staff member and said, “Yo, somebody got to help me. Yeah, you just standing there doing nothing. Let me get you useful.”

She asked him to show her the Blue Yeti microphones after the first staff member directed her to the Apple products. The second staff member pointed her in a direction. She later realized she had been in the wrong area and said, “Oh, so it’s in the, I was in the wrong area. I’m all the way over there. No wonder.”

A female staff member showed her the remaining Blue Yeti microphones. The woman asked about one listed for $87. The staff member said it was $89. The woman replied, “Just tell me yes or no, what it is. In other words, I don’t need to hear it. Not to be rude.”

She took one and noted that the price difference of a dollar did not matter to her as long as it was not $150 like at Walmart. Customer-staff standoffs can escalate quickly, as a Michigan woman allegedly ignored McDonald’s drive-thru employees‘ requests and confronted them inside.

The woman then headed toward checkout and said she also needed a projector. She approached a third male staff member wearing an LG shirt and asked him to show her the projectors, specifically a Vankyo brand. She explained she did not want to walk in circles because she is a chronic asthmatic.

The staff member led her to large projectors priced at $800, $749, and similar amounts. The woman said, “Who would buy a freaking projector for that much? What is it gonna do? Is it gonna look better than any of these TVs?” He described the cheaper models she mentioned as cinematic projectors and said a $125 one was classified as a toy.

She asked about bulb life and replacements. He explained that cheaper models require replacing the whole panel, while others allow bulb replacement after taking off the lens. He added that smaller portable projectors were available only online. The woman later said, “Wow, I learned a lot just now. He helped me out.”

She then stated, “Y’all are expensive in here at Best Buy. Everything expensive as f–k. Bye, Best Buy.” Best Buy’s customer service issues can extend beyond in-store help, as one woman saw the retailer leaving with her refrigerator without ever knocking or calling.

Viewers in the comment section reacted with mixed criticism of the shopper’s tone with observations about the staff. Some focused on her requests for immediate help, with one writing “What is WRONG with her?” and another pointing out “He literally said I’m one minute he was helping someone.”

Others suggested the recording was made for attention, stating, “She’s rude as hell on purpose for views. There’s no way that someone would actually act that way,” and “She’s doing this for views y’all. Block and scroll.”

Comments also touched on retail work and store options. One viewer wrote, “These are the types of people that make working in retail a nightmare,” while another said, “Best Buy employees have zero customer service skills” and “Sounds like she came to Best Buy to be THE PROBLEM.”

A commenter noted the contrast with her claim of using short words because she is asthmatic, writing “Proceeding to say she use ‘short and sweet words because she’s asthmatic’ but talks the whole d–n video.” Someone else added “She should of just went online to buy it instead of bringing her Attitude to the Store.
