It’s The End Game For Earth’s Mightiest Heroes On Avengers 4 Fan Poster

A few months ago, a rumor circulated online that the official title of next year’s Avengers 4 could be Avengers: Endgame. While this suggestion was ultimately dismissed as unlikely, the name has served as inspiration for some pretty compelling fan art from Turkish designer Omer Kose, which sports the slightly modified speculative title Avengers: The End Game.

While the sequel to Avengers: Infinity War seems set to boast the largest cast of any MCU movie to date, the current superhero line-up has actually been trimmed down to a relatively lucky few after the climactic finger-snap of Marvel’s recent mega-hit. This reality is reflected in the fan-made poster, which includes only the super-powered characters who escaped the mass dusting, as well as a couple more that we at least presume to have survived.

Going counterclockwise from the top left, the image’s bottom row breaks down as Okoye, Nebula, Hawkeye, Rocket, Thor, Captain America, Iron Man, Black Widow, War Machine, and Wong. Moreover, while it’s impossible to miss the Hulk looming over the gang, what may require a second glance is the tiny outline of what we assume to be Ant-Man standing on the right arm of Bruce Banner.

While neither Hawkeye nor Ant-Man appeared in Infinity War, actor Jeremy Renner has already teased the return of Clint Barton, while Scott Lang was confirmed to have survived the effects of Thanos’ snap in the post-credits sequence of Ant-Man and the Wasp. But speaking of post-credits scenes, one character that Infinity War teased a vital role for in the upcoming movie that’s nowhere to be seen in this poster is Carol Danvers, star of next year’s Captain Marvel and reportedly the most powerful hero in the MCU.

While Brie Larson’s character has yet to make her big screen debut, some fresh blood might be just what Earth’s Mightiest Heroes need. Then again, thanks in part to Dave Bautista’s loose lips, it already seems inevitable that many of this poster’s dusted absentees will be on hand to help when Avengers 4 hits theaters on May 3rd, 2019.
