Stephen Amell Teases His Return To The Flash In Arrowverse Crossover

Arrow star Stephen Amell is appearing on The Flash? That must mean only one thing: he's filming the annual Arrowverse crossover which unites The CW's DC shows for a one-week only event. This year, the crossover is titled "Elseworlds" and will bring together the heroes of Arrow, Flash and Supergirl - Legends of Tomorrow is sitting it out this time - for an adventure that will introduce Ruby Rose's Batwoman into the shared universe.

Stephen Amell’s appearing on The Flash? Yup, it sure looks like it, which can only mean one thing: he’s filming the annual Arrowverse crossover which unites The CW’s DC shows for a one-week only event. This year, it’s titled “Elseworlds” and will bring together the heroes of Arrow, The Flash and Supergirl – Legends of Tomorrow is sitting it out this time – for an adventure that’ll introduce Ruby Rose’s Batwoman into the shared universe.

Right now, production on the crossover is in full swing and thanks to Amell, we even know what episode of the event they’re currently filming. The Green Arrow actor shared a pic – seen below – of some Flash season 5 promo art with his name written across it, indicating that they’re now shooting the second installment of the three-night event.

This isn’t the only thing Amell’s shared with us today about the crossover, either. Earlier on, he revealed the opening scene of the event, which apparently kicks off with Oliver Queen tucking into some pancakes. OK, so that’s not the grand action-packed opening we were expecting, but we’ll take it. Even superheroes gotta eat, right?

As well as Flash, Green Arrow, Supergirl and Batwoman, the roster of heroes in “Elseworlds” will also include Big Blue himself, as Tyler Hoechlin’s returning as Superman for the first time since Supergirl season 2. And arriving alongside him will be Lois Lane, with Grimm‘s Elizabeth Tulloch joining the Arrowverse as the Daily Planet’s finest reporter. LaMonica Garrett, meanwhile, has been cast as the Monitor, an all-powerful entity from DC lore which suggests this crossover’s going to once again put the Multiverse on the line.

The “Elseworlds” Arrowverse crossover is due to kick off two months from today on Sunday, December 9th, and as soon as Amell shares more updates, we’ll be sure to let you know.
