At least, that’s according to showrunner Lauren S. Hissrich, who recently hopped on Reddit to chat all things Witcher – from the fate of the Northern Kingdoms to what lies ahead for Henry Cavill’s Geralt. But when one fan asked her about the lack of LGBTQ representation in the first season, Hissirch promised that there’s more to come on that front.

“One of my favorite things about the books is that they are full of subversion,” she said, adding: “Yes, we’re gonna represent.”

Unfortunately, the showrunner wouldn’t share more than that, but fans will no doubt be pleased to hear this answer. And along with everything else we’ve been promised for season 2, it truly does seem like the next run will be able to match the heights of what we got late last year.

In any case, Netflix certainly appears to be confident that the show has long legs, as they’ve reportedly already greenlit a third season as well, making it increasingly likely that the White Wolf will be on our screens for some time yet. Which, quite frankly, is perfectly fine with us. After all, there’s a ton of story left to tell in the world of The Witcher, and with Hissrich clearly dedicated to bringing it all to life – with the showrunner teasing a seven season plan – we can’t wait to see where she takes us next.

Tell us, though, have you checked out Netflix’s latest smash hit yet? If so, were you a fan of the first season? Drop a comment down below and let us know.
