Alex Pettyfer Will Join Kristen Stewart In Cali
According to Variety, Alex Pettyfer is gearing up to join director Nick Cassavetes gritty action flick Cali, which already stars Kristen Stewart. The I Am Number Four and Magic Mike star will play Stewart's love interest in the film. For those unfamiliar with the plot, it will follow Pettyfer and Stewart as two lovebirds who ride off with a bundle of cash after selling a fake snuff film. The action arises when the couple has to return home to save the younger sister of Stewart's character.

The Dark Knight Rises Earns $161 Million On Opening Weekend
The Dark Knight Rises took in an impressive $161 million this past weekend, despite the tragic shooting that occurred at the Denver premiere. The film snagged the record for highest opening ever for a 2D film, which many expected it would, and it also received the honor for the third highest opening of all time, behind The Avengers with $207.4 million and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows — Part 2 with $169.2 million.

Full Man Of Steel Trailer Appears Online
As expected, the full version of the Man of Steel trailer has hit the internet. It's different then the one we saw at Comic-Con last weekend and for some reason, there seem to be two different versions, one that has Jor El (Russell Crowe) doing the voice over and one with Jonathan Kent (Kevin Costner) doing it.

Kenneth Branagh Will Star In The Jack Ryan Reboot
Variety is reporting that sometimes actor, sometimes director Kenneth Branagh will be flexing both muscles for the Jack Ryan reboot, stepping behind the directing chair and also starring as the film's villain. We already knew that he was attached to helm but now we're hearing that he is in talks to step into the villain role as well, as the studio hasn't been able to find anyone else.

Taylor Kitsch May Join The Need For Speed Film
For a year that was supposed to be all about Taylor Kitsch, the actor has sure had a couple of very depressing months. John Carter was supposed to be the start of Kitch's ascent to stardom but we all know what happened there. Battleship looked to capitalize on the mistakes made by Disney's bomb but unfortunately, the outcome wasn't much better. Finally, Savages appeared to be the actor's saviour, especially with an American legend behind the camera. And, while the film didn't exactly bomb, it didn't do too well.

2012 Emmy Nominations Announced This Morning
This morning saw the announcement of the 2012 Emmy nominations and as expected, all the usual suspects showed up in their respective categories. It's a rather dull list as the same shows that got nominated last year seemed to have picked up the same nominations this year, though I guess that is to be expected. The best shows on television do usually remain as the best shows on television, year after year.

Dewar’s Unites With #Unravel
Dewar’s has once again shown off their eagerness for innovation by joining forces with #UNRAVEL, a new interactive sound installation that is a collaboration between FOUND and Aidan Moffat, who won the first ever Scottish Album of the Year Award. The project required Aidan to write 10 short stories with multiple variations of each, to be sound-tracked by a total of 160 new musical compositions by FOUND.
