For most of this year, fans have fully expected Jodie Whittaker to leave Doctor Who, with reports saying that the upcoming season 13 will be her last. If true, then in line with every Doctor since David Tennant, Whittaker will have played the part for three runs. Unfortunately for the rumormongers, though, there's been no confirmation of Whittaker leaving and no unveiling of a replacement as of yet.
Ryan Reynolds has one of the strongest social media games in the business and has earned every one of his 17.6 million followers on Twitter. That's because, unlike many other A-listers, he runs his own account and regularly responds to people who mention him. One of his best lately was when user @woopy_doopey saw a person looking uncannily like the Deadpool star riding the bus.
We've waited so long for Black Widow it'll be surreal when it's out. Natasha Romanoff’s solo adventure was originally due in May 2020, but the COVID-19 pandemic saw its release date repeatedly pushed back. Now, finally, it’s coming on July 9 - the first MCU movie since Spider-Man: Far From Home.
Of all the superheroes, Batman has the most self-imposed rules. In almost every incarnation, he refuses to use guns and the Christopher Nolan movies spent a lot of time exploring his strict no-killing policy. However, as viewers of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Justice League will be aware, Warner Bros. and DC will permit him to break those rules on occasion. But now, an interview with Harley Quinn showrunners Justin Halpern and Patrick Schumacker has revealed that there's one line that the Caped Crusader won't ever cross. And it's probably not what you think it is.
After just a single episode, Loki has set tongues wagging around the world with theories as to where the story will go and what it'll mean for the MCU. The first outing focused on exposition, giving us the antihero's history and explaining the Time Variance Authority. It's looking like they're going to use a Loki to catch a Loki, though the TVA's mission to preserve the "sacred timeline" is likely doomed as we have Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness coming soon.
It's been three long years since we last saw Deadpool and we still have years to wait until the Merc's third film arrives. During this gap, Fox merged with Disney, and the House of Mouse has been deciding how best to bring Ryan Reynolds' foul-mouthed and violent antihero into the PG-13 MCU. We know he'll be back soon, though precise details of how the character will make the leap between universes and what he'll be doing are as yet unknown.
Avengers: Endgame's time heist was a truly audacious plan, as the heroes headed back to key MCU events to borrow that timeline's Infinity Stones. Most of the 'past' characters were completely oblivious to this, though a notable exception was Tilda Swinton's Ancient One, who quickly surmised what was up. But thanks to Loki, we now know that the God of Mischief also recognizes shenanigans when he sees them.
