If you'd have said a year ago that Sonic the Hedgehog would end up as one of the highest-grossing movies of 2020 most people would have written you off as insane. But a combination of the film being much better than anticipated and COVID lockdowns delaying almost all of its competitors left it jockeying for the domestic top spot with Bad Boys For Life. A sequel - Sonic the Hedgehog 2 - was quickly greenlit and is being fast-tracked through development for an April 2022 release.

2020 has been a particularly difficult year for many reasons. A rare bright spot in the world of entertainment was the second season of The Mandalorian, which wrapped before the lockdowns hit, came out on time and exceeded everyone's expectations. From the various nods to old Star Wars video games, to the live-action debut of Rosario Dawson, the return of a post-Sarlaac Boba Fett and, of course, the mindblowingly cool return of Mark Hamill as a digitally de-aged Luke Skywalker, it was a hell of a season and went a long way towards washing away the unpleasant aftertaste of The Rise of Skywalker.

How To Find Cyberpunk 2077’s Ultra Fast Version Of The Batmobile
Cyberpunk 2077 is a buggy nightmare that shouldn't have been released in its current state, and Xbox One and PS4 gamers were sold an objectively broken product. There's a lot of blame to go around, but it shouldn't be forgotten that the actual title itself is pretty damn good. Sure, you'll have to deal with cars randomly exploding, your character falling through the floor and endless crashes to get there, but if you're playing on Xbox Series X, PlayStation 5 or a beefy PC, Cyberpunk 2077 is actually very fun.

Disney's Investor Day was basically heaven for Star Wars fans. A live-action Ahsoka Tano series! A Mandalorian spinoff titled Rangers of the New Republic! A Lando Calrissian show! Heck, we're even getting a freakin' Rogue Squadron movie directed by Patty Jenkins! The future looks bright for the franchise, no doubt, but the announcement that's really gotten tongues wagging is Hayden Christensen returning as Darth Vader in Obi-Wan.

Batman: Soul of the Dragon sounds like an interesting departure from the usual slate of DC animated movies. The story is set during the 1970s and follows a young Bruce Wayne on the path of martial arts mastery. We'll see him training with and battling other elite martial artists, including Richard Dragon, Ben Turner and Lady Shiva, all of whom are under the tutelage of O-Sensei.

Cyberpunk 2077 Players Complain That They Can’t Keep The Game After Getting Refund
It's an understatement to say that the Cyberpunk 2077 launch hasn't gone the way CD Projekt Red had hoped. This was the most anticipated game of the year, but what hit shelves was a buggy mess that barely ran on last-gen consoles. As a result, the title has been removed from Sony's PlayStation Store and a warning about "performance issues" was added to Microsoft's. Both companies are also offering full refunds for the title, which seems smart given that it looks like it'll be many months until all the issues are ironed out.
