Robert Downey Jr. can take credit for a decent amount of the MCU's ongoing success. 2008's Iron Man launched the whole affair, with his performance as Tony Stark winning over audiences and critics alike. It was off the back of that smash hit that we began building up to The Avengers, with the actor playing a role in all major MCU events and finally sacrificing himself to save the universe in Endgame. His death in that movie seemed pretty final, but now prolific scooper Mikey Sutton is claiming that Marvel Studios are concocting plans to bring Downey Jr.'s beloved character back without resurrecting him.
Thor: Love and Thunder has been delayed (along with every other MCU project) until spring 2020. The good news, though, is that it continues to look like the most interesting upcoming Marvel movie on the slate, with director Taika Waititi building on the excellent Ragnarok and continuing Thor's arc after he gave the throne of Asgard to Valkyrie. But the main attraction has to be Natalie Portman's Jane Foster wielding Mjolnir.
Game of Thrones' first season laid down the template for the show's success. The cocktail of violence, sex, political intrigue and fantasy was a smash hit and quickly won over a massive audience. But over the years, we've heard about some eyebrow-raising behavior on set during that first shoot.
The Witcher season 2 is currently shooting and we're getting all sorts of interesting peeks at what's coming in 2021. That was followed yesterday by Freya Allan's Ciri undergoing training at Kaer Morhen and now, we've got our first glimpse at the return of Anya Chalotra's Yennefer of Vengerberg.
We’re now over a month out from Chadwick Boseman‘s untimely death and many are still coming to terms with the loss. The Black Panther star was a hero to his fans, admired within the entertainment industry and seemed to have a long and glittering career ahead of him. Over the past few weeks, we've heard from his colleagues and friends, with a recent highlight being Sienna Miller revealing that Boseman took a pay cut to ensure wage equality between them on 21 Bridges.
Those familiar with Ciri from The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt may have been thrown by her appearance in the first season of Netflix's The Witcher. In the game, she's a swashbuckling adventurer, wearing an outfit suited to a dangerous quest that takes her across the land. But, as played by Freya Allan in season 1 of the TV show, Ciri was scared, vulnerable and weak - a princess plucked from her cozy castle and tossed into a threatening world.
