Cannibal Holocaust Is Becoming A Video Game, For Some Odd Reason
Ruggero Deodato's 1980 film Cannibal Holocaust is a horror classic. It pioneered what would become known as the found footage genre, which eventually spawned classics like The Blair Witch Project, REC and the Paranormal Activity movies. It tells the tale of an American film crew becoming lost and brutally murdered in the Amazon rainforest, with the footage being discovered later.

John Cena Teases Playing X-O Manowar In Valiant Cinematic Universe
The Valiant Comics cinematic universe has had a rough start. Vin Diesel's Bloodshot had a disastrous opening weekend, which put the whole future of the project in doubt. In its defense, arriving just before the Coronavirus pandemic didn't do it any favors at the box office and cinemas closing soon afterwards gave it a box office run measured in hours rather than weeks. The film quickly became available digitally and it isn't half bad, and it seems the producers are intent on continuing on with Valiant's stable of heroes, too, as John Cena is teasing an announcement about him playing X-O Manowar.

New Friday The 13th Hot Sauce Lets Jason Wreak Havoc On Your Mouth
Friday the 13th remains trapped in legal limbo. The long-running litigation between franchise producer Sean S. Cunningham and the original film’s writer Victor Miller continues to rumble through the appeals process, though it seems Miller currently has the upper hand. There's been some indication that this dispute may be finally resolved sometime in Summer 2020, though I would imagine that the Coronavirus pandemic and social distancing rules will have a delaying effect on non-urgent civil proceedings.

James Gunn Says Rocket Will Be A Big Part Of Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 3
When Marvel Studios announced they were making a Guardians of the Galaxy movie, some assumed the studio had lost its mind. Sure, Iron Man and Thor weren't exactly high-profile in the late 2000s, but almost nobody had even heard of Star-Lord, Groot, Gamora and Drax. Hell, the team even has the ridiculous Rocket Raccoon on it, an intergalactic talking raccoon bounty hunter! Who's going to pay to see that?

With much of the world's population currently advised to remain at home due to the Coronavirus pandemic, Netflix (and other streaming services) are more popular than ever. The company is reporting record audience numbers, which isn't exactly surprising given that they almost literally have a captive audience, and over the last few weeks, Netflix has become so popular that in Europe they've had to decrease their video quality as so many people are streaming that they were in danger of slowing down the whole internet.

Why is it always the depressing, dystopian movies that seem to come true? Residents of Crowley, Louisiana got a surprise yesterday when they heard the iconic sound of The Purge siren being played at full volume. If you're already a bit paranoid and frayed from a couple of weeks living through a pandemic, hearing a siren that indicates that twelve hours of murder and mayhem are about to begin is... Well, let's just say not ideal.

Hobbs & Shaw Star Reportedly Eyed For Female Lead In Doom Reboot
It looks like Universal Pictures are going to just pretend last year's Doom: Annihilation didn't happen. That movie was supposed to course-correct from the 2005 Doom, which was also not much cop. But hey, third time's the charm right? Now it seems that Universal is finally planning to do it right - instead of trying to crowbar the basics of the game's setting into a crappy Aliens ripoff, they're just going to do a big-screen adaptation of the original DOOM.
