These days, it's not uncommon for actors to have played more than one superhero in movies and television. Tom Hardy, of course, is a member of that exclusive club, having previously been Bane in The Dark Knight Rises, and is now headlining Venom as the titular anti-hero. Actually, he was originally cast as Rick Flag for Suicide Squad but was replaced by Joel Kinnaman due to a scheduling conflict.
With Oliver Queen now being behind bars, one can only imagine how difficult life for Team Arrow will be when season 7 kicks off. In fact, we learned just this week that Felicity will (obviously) take her man's incarceration hardest when new showrunner Beth Schwartz teased the possible arrival of Smoak Technologies sometime over the course of the next year.
Despite DC writer Joshua Williamson recently providing assurance of the Flash being faster than Superman in the comics, debate will forever rage on when it comes to who would reach the finish line first in a race. For the most part, those of us familiar with the source material often concede to the Scarlet Speedster being superior to the Man of Steel in that respect, but there exist those who won't have any of it.
Though Warner Bros. have no plans to release the fabled Zack Snyder cut of Justice League, there remain those who cling to their hope of such a thing happening. Admittedly, I think it could one day happen just as Superman II: The Richard Donner Cut saw the light of day more than two decades after being shot, but I just don't see it dropping in the foreseeable future.
As is the case with any TV show, various in-jokes and seemingly innocuous additions to the mythology can be made throughout the years, thus making us wonder if and when they’ll be paid off. When it comes to Arrow, viewers have been asking about the dangling thread that is Smoak Technologies for some time now.
Though I didn’t detest 2011’s Green Lantern starring Ryan Reynolds as some others may have, I found that it ultimately fell short of what animated offerings such as First Flight and Emerald Knights achieved. That said, I remain optimistic for the long-gestating Green Lantern Corps.
Being a big fan of James Bond, you can imagine that I'm very much looking forward to the next entry into the film franchise. But as is sometimes this case with this industry, there exist projects that encounter a few bumps in the road before cameras can begin rolling. And as it turns out, the tentatively titled Bond 25 is an unfortunate example.
By now, I'm sure that at least of fraction of those of you reading this are well aware of how Tim Curry was originally cast as the Joker for Batman: The Animated Series. Believe it or not, he actually did record dialogue for a few episodes before being replaced by Mark Hamill, who's since gone on to voice the Clown Prince of Crime in various projects over the years.
For each DC TV show airing on The CW, there exist a number of fans who side with a specific one for a variety of reasons. If The Flash is your cup of tea, you may like science fiction series that also have much in the way of heart, whereas Legends of Tomorrow is for those who love time travel, not to mention being heavier on the humor.
Despite the next Arrowverse crossover seemingly not being as epic in scale as, say, "Invasion!" or "Crisis on Earth-X," it's expected to make up for that by focusing more on character. And just when you thought it couldn't get any cooler than having Ruby Rose debuting as the first live action version of Batwoman, we recently learned of how Superman and Lois Lane will feature in the very same event as well.
