In the past few decades, Kevin Conroy has done quite the job of becoming synonymous with the Dark Knight, having voiced him in various animated series and video games. And though other fine actors have run with the torch in a number of animated movies to follow, it's impossible to overlook the fact that some of the best offerings featured him in the titular role.
When everyone had a laugh over Teen Titans Go! To The Movies making a joke about butler extraordinaire Alfred getting a film of his own, the folks over at Epix apparently thought such a notion would make for some damn good television. As it turns out, they're going ahead with a 10-episode series known as Pennyworth, which will likely debut later in 2019.
In advance of Blumhouse's Halloween sequel that's set to spill blood in theaters beginning on October 19th, we'll be reminded of what made this film franchise so spectacular in the first place - and it's not just amusing photos featuring Nick Castle that are accompanying us down memory lane.
When last week's issue of Batman pretty much confirmed that Bruce Wayne is an atheist, I'd expected for fans to spill more blood in comments sections than the Joker did in Frank Miller's The Dark Knight Returns - and I was correct, for the most part.
Aside from each successive trailer for Venom looking even more badass than the one to have preceded it, one thing about the film that's reassured my confidence in the final product is that of Tom Hardy's casting. In my view, he always brings something special to his performances, and I still feel his turn as Bane in The Dark Knight Rises was one of the best things about that particular movie.
Right now, we imagine that it's not reassuring for anyone outside of Warner Bros. to be somewhat left in the dark when it comes to the future of DC on film beyond the next few releases, but that's just how the cookie is crumbling.
Though The Flash‘s fourth season did a fine job of tying up the Thinker’s arc, there were still some threads left dangling after May’s finale. And no, we’re not talking about what’s to come with Nora Allen-West, but rather, the developing situation involving Caitlin Snow.
It wasn't very long ago that I expressed my gratitude to the folks behind Michigan Comic Con for allowing geeks in my home state to partake in yet another sizable event geared toward those of our persuasion. And after being one among thousands to file into Cobo Arena this past weekend, I can say that, perhaps like those of you reading this, I'd made memories to last a lifetime.
These days, it's safe to say that every three seconds or so, somebody flips out over something posted on the internet. Though this is not the time or place to comment on the unfortunate state of humanity, it's hard to overlook how Grant Gustin, the Flash himself, recently got caught up in the latest crapstorm.
Already, we've been given hints as to how no-nonsense the seventh season of Arrow will be, with previous reports saying that it'll take the series back to its roots, and how this'll be the darkest year since the first. Hey, after seeing the brutal trailer that debuted last month at San Diego Comic-Con, I'm most definitely a believer.
