Sony Hires A Writer For Their Gritty, Dark Knight Inspired Zorro Reboot

In today's day and age, movie franchise reboots are a dime a dozen. Some successfully introduce characters to a new generation, while the rest go back on the shelf and await their next reboot. Zorro was one of those characters, after coming back from the dead in 1998's The Mask of Zorro, starring Antonio Banderas in the titular role, and its sequel, 2005's The Legend of Zorro. The first film grossed $250 million worldwide and earned an 86% on Rotten Tomatoes. The follow-up made only $142 million and fared far worse with critics, landing a sad 26%.

First Look At Dane DeHaan As James Dean In Anton Corbijn’s Life

Director Anton Corbijn (The American) has been very busy as of late, debuting his most recent effort, A Most Wanted Man at Sundance earlier this year, then jumping right into filming his upcoming project, Life. The film stars Dane DeHaan as James Dean, who takes a journey across the US with Magnum photographer Dennis Stock (played by Robert Pattinson). Stock had been tasked with capturing the up-and-coming actor for Life Magazine, less than a year before Dean's rise to superstardom and tragic death. The pair take a road trip from Los Angeles to New York, then to Dean's hometown of Fairmont, Indiana so that Stock could photograph him in the environments that "affected and shaped" the actor's "unique character."

Arrow Review: “The Promise” (Season 2, Episode 15)

Arrow had a lot to prove this week, after the exciting cliffhanger that showed Oliver and Slade Wilson finally meeting in the present day. We've known since the pilot that Ollie and the future Deathstroke have quite the falling out, and the writers have been building up Slade as the show's "big bad" for quite some time now. Luckily for us, tonight's episode lived up to its name, fulfilling the promises given to us throughout the show while setting the stage for some exciting events to come.

Transformers: Age Of Extinction Viral Marketing Tells Us That Transformers Are Dangerous

The first full trailer for Michael Bay's Transformers: Age of Extinction dropped last night and offered a glimpse at how the world now sees the robots in disguise. It showed us more of the same (big explosions, people running away from those explosions and big CGI robots fighting other big CGI robots), but the tone suggests something a bit darker than what we've seen from the series so far.

Deathstroke Invades Starling City In Epic New Trailer For Arrow

The CW's Arrow has taken us all by surprise, becoming the most exciting superhero TV show in years. Ever since the pilot, the series has been teasing an epic showdown between Oliver and Slade Wilson, better known by comic book fans as the badass mercenary, Deathstroke the Terminator. Throughout this season they've been laying the groundwork for their much anticipated confrontation, and a new three minute trailer released this week only raises our already high levels of excitement.

Fox's Jim Gordon-centric series Gotham is shaping up fast and moving swiftly toward its fall 2014 premiere. Several major roles were cast last month, including Gordon himself, his partner Harvey Bullock, the Penguin, Alfred and the Penguin's boss Fish Mooney. That left one major part left to be filled: the young Dark Knight himself, Bruce Wayne. Zack Snyder's highly anticipated Man of Steel sequel doesn't start filming for another month, and doesn't arrive in theaters until 2016, but Batman vs. Superman just may be the most talked about and controversial comic book film in history. Snyder isn't just making a Superman sequel, he's bringing Superman and Batman together on the big screen for the very first time. Bryan Cranston Says He Was Never Offered The Role Of Lex Luthor In Batman vs. Superman

Bryan Cranston was high on many people's most-wanted lists to play Lex Luthor in Batman vs. Superman, a role that ended up going to Jesse Eisenberg. His portrayal of Walter White on television's Breaking Bad proved that Cranston could play the dark, megalomaniacal (and, well... bald) arch-nemesis of Superman. When Eisenberg landed the role though, fans were quick to voice their opinion, shouting "We wanted Heisenberg, not Eisenberg!"
