Jonathan Frakes, who most recently reprised his role as William Riker in Star Trek: Picard, has now teased his involvement in several more new Star Trek series. The actor built on his long-running role as Riker to direct multiple episodes in the Trek franchise, including work on Star Trek: Discovery. However, some comments made by Frakes at the recent GalaxyCon seem to imply that there are several more series that are in the works.
One of the few success stories during COVID-19, Netflix have been well-placed to meet viewer demands for content while stuck at home during the lockdown. The recent success of the service has now translated into an all-time high for Netflix stocks, putting them above Disney.
Often considered to be the best entry in the Star Trek movie series, 1982's Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan stands up to multiple viewings. However, the proposed film would feature the current cast of Picard alongside returning characters from Star Trek: The Next Generation, of which we had several in the first season of the CBS All Access series.
