While a lot of people may be completely unfamiliar with the character, for many comic book fans, Moon Knight instantly became the most exciting addition to the Marvel Cinematic Universe's roster of Disney Plus exclusive shows when it was announced. Although we know virtually nothing about the project other than the involvement of Death Note and The Umbrella Academy's Jeremy Slater as showrunner, the mere fact that Marc Spector will be making his live-action debut at some point in 2022 is enough to generate huge excitement among some sections of the fanbase.

X-Men: Apocalypse’s Post-Credits Scene Was Supposed To Set Up Gambit
X-Men: Days of Future Past was an ambitious and successful hybrid that managed to act as a sequel to both the original trilogy and the rebooted timeline at the same time, but it would be fair to say that the main installments in the mutant franchise never managed to hit those heights again. While it wasn't a disaster on the same sort of scale as Dark Phoenix, Apocalypse was nonetheless a major disappointment that wasted one of the most iconic villains in comic book history and squandered a lot of audience goodwill in the process.
