Warner Bros. has announced the Blu-Ray release of The Lucky One, starring Zac Efron and Taylor Schilling, for this August.
Pretty boy Zac Efron doesn’t stray too far away from the norm in, The Lucky One, the latest romantic drama from WB. The film works a Lifetime Network quality drama, but viewing it as anything else will leave you wanting more from both the story and cast.
Aside from Zac Efron‘s on-screen charisma, the film is anchored down by a cold performance from Taylor Schilling and a batch of low-quality supporting roles that never live up to the Efron standards. I’ve never been a huge fan of Efron, but I do believe he holds talent; it’s just not fully exposed yet. The man knows how to do romantic dramas very well, but when is he going to break out and give us something better?
I know he has it in him, much like Robert Pattinson and Channing Tatum, who both have gone on to do riskier roles as of late.
The Lucky One will come to Blu-Ray in a Blu-Ray/DVD/UltraViolet Digital Copy combo pack in 1080p with a 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio track. The special features include 3 behind-the-scenes featurettes.
The Lucky One hits stores on August 28th, 2012.
