Disney Infinity 3.0 Announces 4-Player Brawler

Marvel Battlegrounds will be the latest Play Set for Disney Infinity 3.0 and the first to introduce four-player co-op to the series, Disney Interactive has announced. Designed in the style of an arcade brawler, the set will feature a new plot line with all your favorite big screen Avengers.

In it, Loki is up to his old tricks and this time he has his eyes set on Asgard’s powerful Infinity Stone. Teaming up with Ultron, The God of Evil is mass producing robotic duplicates of Marvel’s finest to distract and turn them against one another. The game’s battles will take The Avengers from a wrecked Brooklyn train yard to Wakanda and even a S.H.I.E.L.D. Lunar Base, as they eventually take the fight to Ultron himself.

Marvel Battlegrounds will also support all your old Disney Infinity 2.0 figurines as well, and they will have updated skills sets to complement the new gameplay. The play set will boast Ultron and Captain America – The First Avenger, a new version of Captain America with a new pose, costume and enhanced abilities. Other Marvel Battlegrounds figures will be revealed to us in the months ahead.

Disney Infinity 3.0 is out now for Wii U, Playstation 4, Playstation 3, Xbox One, and Xbox 360, as is its Rise Against The Empire play set, which we thoroughly enjoyed as much as the main game itself.
