Coming to us by way of Reddit, this intel is precious for those hoping to plan their Fortnite marathons around each weekly challenge – remember, week 2 is expected to go live on March 7th, so there’s ample time to prepare for weeks 3 and 4.

From what we can gather, it appears Fortnite‘s weekly challenges have spiked in difficulty, with players now required to get an Elimination with a specific weapon – like a sniper rifle, for instance – or scour the chests at Polar Peak and/or Tomato Temple for treasure. Season 8 is a pirate-themed bonanza, so it should come as no surprise that Epic Games is sending players off to the four corners of the map in search of Battle Stars and buried goods.

Here’s a full overview of the weeks ahead, but fair warning: these weekly challenges are still subject to change, as Epic may tweak things ever so slightly to keep players on their toes.

In related news, there have been rumblings of an entirely new map being introduced to Fortnite in the coming weeks, while Epic Games is said to be rustling up a slew of weapons that will surely cause havoc across Pleasent Park and Sunny Steps and everywhere in between.

Fortnite Season 8 is well underway and it’s already brought new events, cosmetics, challenges and an active Volcano to Epic’s über-popular shooter. And things are just getting started, as there has already been talk of a respawn feature and many more bells and whistles waiting in the wings.
