Shoulder-mounted laser cannons, giant arm blades and multiple forms of vision: yeah, it’s the Predator, and he’s joining the cast of Mortal Kombat X on July 7. The third of four currently-announced DLC fighters for the beat ’em up, Predator follows slasher film king, Jason Vorhees, and Mortal Kombat native, Tanya, to bolster the ranks of playable characters.
If you’re an owner of the Kombat Pass DLC, the extraterrestrial will be available at the aforementioned date. Non-early adopters will have to wait another week, when he’ll be made available to purchase separately at, we assume, the same price as previous DLC characters.
Gamers will have access to the Predator’s entire arsenal – depending on which of the three combat styles is chosen – so lasers, nets, thrown weapons and bladed pole-arms are what you have to look forward to. Not bad, right?
MORE NEWS FROM THE WEB
Mortal Kombat X has been a huge hit with, well, just about everyone – enjoying massive success in sales charts across the globe – and shows no signs of slowing down. Tremor, another native character of the series, is still to come, and there’s even been hints from creator Ed Boon that there are even more characters arriving at a later date.
