New Injustice 2 Character Reveal Coming Tomorrow

Injustice 2 developer NetherRealm Studios will draw back the curtain on another character for the all-star superpowered beat 'em up tomorrow, March 30, a teaser on the game's official site has confirmed. Sadly, besides confirmation of the date, there aren't ay clues as to who (or what) the next roster addition will be, and given that Injustice 2's extensive list of playable fighters already consists of some rather obscure individuals from DC's universe, attempting to guess who it is that's hiding behind the silhouette is almost impossible.

Injustice 2 developer NetherRealm Studios will draw back the curtain on yet another character for the all-star superpowered beat ’em up tomorrow, March 30, a teaser on the game’s official website has confirmed. Sadly, besides confirmation of the date, there aren’t any clues as to who (or what) the next roster addition will be, and given that Injustice 2‘s extensive list of playable fighters already consists of some rather obscure individuals from DC’s universe, attempting to guess who it is that’s hiding behind the silhouette is almost impossible.

As of now, there’s still 13 character slots left to be unlocked on the roster sheet, with both iconic and lesser known entities currently represented in equal measure. Judging by the fact that NetherRealm’s most recent reveals have focused on the latter, though, it could well be time for another familiar face to join the ranks.

Last week’s gameplay trailer welcomed Black Adam aboard Injustice 2‘s steadily increasing ranks, having shown him facing off against Supergirl in Egypt, although the outcome certainly didn’t end in the supervillain’s favor. Prior to that, we had trailers for both Firestorm and Cheetah, which you can see in action here.

Injustice 2 is out May 16 for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 and, considering everything that NetherRealm and Warner Bros. have shown of the sequel so far, it could well prove to be the best of its kind that the developer has ever produced, perhaps even having the potential to top 2015’s excellent Mortal Kombat X.

Be sure to check back with us tomorrow for full coverage of the new character reveal.
