When it comes to releases from Insomniac Games, you can always bet on over-the-top creativity in the weapon department. Whether it’s a Ratchet and Clank sequel or one of the Resistance games, the weapons take centre stage most of the time.
With Resistance 3, the development team went back to the well and brought the popular weapon wheel back from the original game, to help fans switch weapons easier. Not only that, but they’ve been working hard on the available weaponry, even drawing inspiration from their beloved Ratchet and Clank series and its insanely creative weaponry.
It’s all discussed in this developer’s diary, entitled Full Circle. Listen and watch as the game’s creative directors at Insomniac Games discuss some of the inspiration, thought and work that went into building what looks like a beautiful and fun game. One I’m eagerly anticipating the chance to play, considering just how great the footage in this video is.
Resistance 3 will be available on September 6, exclusively for the PlayStation 3.
