At an event in Japan, Konami confirmed a release date for the anticipated Zone of the Enders HD Collection. As an added bonus, they confirmed that a sequel is indeed in the works.

Japan is getting the HD Collection on October 25. An international date was not mentioned, although given that the Metal Gear Solid HD Collection actually came out a few weeks before Japan did, I’d say we won’t have to wait terribly long after (or before, for that matter).

During the event, Hideo Kojima himself confirmed that he was working on a sequel, known only as Ender’s Project. Japanese gaming magazine Famitsu managed to snap the above picture that was teased with the announcement. Which means you can all begin speculating about organic mechs right about….now.
