Nato And Remy’s Last Stand: 2013 Horror Characters We’d Love To See Return Someday

In this week's article, we decided to focus on those characters who kicked the door down and demanded your undivided attention, in some cases carrying a horror film by themselves. These characters were crafted with deep roots, brought to life by phenomenal performances, and made a lasting impression on audiences - everything you could ask for in ANY genre cast.

As Adam Wingard’s mask-wearing house invaders found out, Sharni Vinson’s survivalist character Erin isn’t a survivor girl to be messed with. As she watches a poor family falling to pieces (literally) around her, Erin fights back against the armed assailants, killing each villain one by one. Some are killed through simple means, while others are dispatched in the most epic of fashions, like with a freakin’ blender to the cranium. Seriously, she breaks a blender, shoves it into a dude’s head, then turns it on for good measure. Yeah, this is one feisty victim most baddies would want to avoid at all costs.

As a viewer, I have a much different opinion. I honestly can’t remember an equatable survivor girl in the year of 2013, and although her story has a pretty finite ending, I would love to see Ms. Vinson in action once again as Erin. Not only were we treated to an intense cat and mouse game between a deceivingly equally matched Erin and her assailants, but also a surprisingly gory bit of table-turing home invasion horror, kind of like Home Alone but with a lot more death – and not enough Joe Pesci.

Erin was smart, savvy, easy on the eyes, and a perfect type of survivor girl I could watch over and over again. You left us on a cliffhanger Adam Wingard! Bring back Erin and show us how she survives! Maybe some friends of the attackers show up, none too pleased to see their friends dead?

Alright horror fans, which 2013 horror characters would you love to see return in a sequel, prequel, spin-off – whatever? Let us know in the comments section below.
