The Marvel Cinematic Universe has been growing to epic proportions since it first opened with Iron Man in 2008. Since then, plenty of the company's most popular characters have been added across numerous standalone films and two huge Avengers titles. The future of the MCU is plotted through to 2020 as well, which will include another ensemble piece with Captain America: Civil War in 2016.

Okay, I’ll admit that this is not the first time I’ve put forward my belief that Kraven needs to make his way into a Marvel movie sooner rather than later, but honestly, how have we had five different Spider-Man movies without him even making it onto the screen once?!

We talked recently about how Kraven’s Last Hunt should be one of the stories considered for the Spider-Man reboot, but there’s so much more to the character than just one great story. After all, how many of the villains in Spidey’s rich company have managed to so regularly force the webslinger to outdo his own feats of bravery and fight so desperately for survival.

Kraven has also appeared in some standout stories for other Marvel heroes, including a wonderful showdown with Daredevil. He’s just the kind of vicious, calculated villain that the MCU needs.
