New Arrow Synopsis Hints At Mr. Terrific Going Black Ops

Right now, it's probably safe to say that each and every fan of Arrow knows Oliver Queen will still be behind bars when the new season picks up in just a few hours. And though the Emerald Archer will remain at the forefront of everyone's minds, it's only natural questions be raised regarding what his former cohorts are up to.

Well, two weeks from tonight, it sounds like we can expect to see one Curtis Holt in a very different position. As it turns out, episode 7×03 likely features Mr. Terrific going the way of black ops or, at least, that’s what the following synopsis for “Crossing Lines” tells us:

CURTIS GOES UNDERCOVER FOR ARGUS — Still in prison, Oliver (Stephen Amell) faces his biggest challenge yet. Meanwhile, Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) gets an intriguing offer, and Diggle (David Ramsey) asks Curtis (Echo Kellum) to go undercover for ARGUS. Ben Bray directed the episode written by Emilio Ortega Aldrich & Tonya Kong (#703). Original airdate 10/29/2018.

If I were to hazard a guess, this’ll be a temporary move for Curtis, but seeing as how he’s one of the smartest men alive and has been beating criminals to a pulp with his bare hands – with some T-spheres providing the assist, of course – for the past few years, this may be a good fit for him.

Elsewhere, I can only wonder what Oliver’s “biggest challenge yet” will be, but this is hardly the first time the network has used that hyperbole. Really, it’s like how Tony Schiavone declared nearly episode of WCW Monday Nitro to be “the biggest night in the history of our sport” back in the late 1990’s. And while my younger and more foolish self may have believed the broadcast journalist’s claims on occasion, it’s going to take some convincing now for me to think someone more threatening than Deathstroke, Ra’s al Ghul or Prometheus is showing up at Slabside.

Arrow returns for its seventh season tonight on The CW, with “Crossing Lines” set to air on Monday, October 29.
