In this case, the Scarlet Speedster’s latest accolade comes in the form of this week’s season finale, which drew the largest audience in nearly three months. To be specific, “We Are The Flash” had 2.12 million viewers tune in live, thus earning a 0.8 rating in the 18-49 demographic.

Likewise, February 27’s offering roped in 2.120 million viewers, but it received only a .74 demo rating. Suffice it to say, this week’s numbers are quite respectable, especially when stiff competition such as Roseanne‘s season finale was also in the 8 pm timeslot.

Naturally, you assume for premieres, finales and the fall crossover events to put butts in seats, so it comes as no surprise curious viewers wanted to see how the final showdown against the Thinker turned out. Plus, the Mystery Girl was finally revealed to be Barry and Iris’ daughter from the future, Nora Allen, so that could’ve given additional incentive.

What’s more is that a reviewing of The Flash‘s May ratings as a whole show an upward trend:

  • May 1 – 4×20: 1.697 million viewers, 0.62 rating
  • May 8 – 4×21: 1.740 million viewers, 0.70 rating
  • May 15 – 4×22: 1.934 million viewers, 0.70 rating
  • May 22 – 4×23: 2.118 million viewers, 0.80 rating

And though season 5 of The Flash may be nearly five months down the road, we’ve already been given hints as to whom the next main villain may be, in addition to being assured that another iteration of Harrison Wells is on the way. Plus, another Blu-ray set will be dropping in the meanwhile, which should help tide you over.
