Owen Wilson Reportedly Returning As Mobius For More MCU Projects

With just one more episode of Loki to go this week, Marvel fans aren't ready to say goodbye to the time-travelling Marvel show, which has not only given Tom Hiddleston's trickster his first solo venture but has also introduced a new beloved character into the MCU. Yes, it's Owen Wilson's Mobius, the, well, very Owen Wilson-like TVA agent who's become Loki's unlikely BFF.

Yes, it’s Owen Wilson‘s Mobius M. Mobius, the, well, very Owen Wilson-like TVA agent who’s become Loki’s unlikely BFF.

Episode 5 ended with the duo parting ways as Loki and Sylvie went off to discover who really created the TVA while Mobius returned to the organization to stop Renslayer. We’re sure the pair will reunite in this week’s finale, but will this be the last time we see Mobius in the franchise? The good news is that doesn’t look to be the case. Giant Freakin Robot is reporting that Marvel fully intends to bring Wilson back for future MCU projects.

That’s about as much as the outlet can say at this point, as they don’t know where else he’ll show up, but that’s enough to get us excited for now. GFR speculates that Mobius could be paired with other characters going forward, establishing more odd couple dynamics with other Marvel heroes (or reformed villains). That could be fun, though no one would mind more from the “Lokius” partnership.

GFR also isn’t able to specify whether Mobius’ return is because Marvel was planning it in the first place or a response to his popularity with the fandom. To be honest, it’s probably a bit of both. The studio no doubt had ideas brewing, and the fact that folks love Wilson’s character probably just convinced them to go ahead. This is just the one outlet claiming this right now, but it’s easy to imagine that this intel is on the money.

It looks like we can rest assured that Owen Wilson‘s Mobius is going to make it out of the Loki finale alive when it hits Disney Plus this Wednesday.
