Take A Walk Down Memory Lane With New Trailer For Twin Peaks Revival

"Something old is new again..." Take a trip down memory lane with the nostalgic new trailer for Showtime's Twin Peaks revival.

Double R Diner, Laura Palmer’s house, the instantly recognizable sheriff’s department – all of these locations and more feature in the nostalgic new trailer for Twin Peaks.

Pitched as a limited event series – one that’ll set the wheels in motion with a two-hour, two-episode premiere in three weeks’ time – David Lynch is back behind the lens, following some back-and-forth with regards to contractual and financial arrangements. But if Showtime’s Twin Peaks revival encountered some choppy waters early on in development, all signs point to a delightful slice of fan service hitting the small screen on May 21st.

On board to headline the truly massive ensemble cast is Kyle MacLachlan, who’s back as FBI Agent Dale Cooper. The caption that accompanies Twin Peaks‘ third season simply reads, “it’s happening again,” which portends all kinds of dark and mysterious events for those residents housed up in the titular town. Other cast members returning from the cult original include Mädchen Amick, Sheryl Lee, David Duchovny, Harry Dean Stanton, and Peggy Lipton.

If you’re still a little confused regarding the somewhat convoluted timeline of Twin Peaks, don’t fret; Showtime rolled out a primer video designed to give you a refresher on the road so far. Up above, it’s a little different, as you’ll get a glimpse of some new footage in anticipation of the show’s return. Joining MacLachlan and Co. are Laura Dern, indie singers Sky Ferreira, Sharon Van Etten, Amanda Seyfried, Naomi Watts, Michael Cera, Tim Roth and Ashley Judd.

“Something old is new again…” Showtime’s Twin Peaks revival airs on Sunday, May 21 at 9PM ET/PT. The only question left now is, will you be tuning in?
