Destiny February 17 Xur Visit: What’s The Agent Of The Nine Selling This Week?

Xur’s back for another weekend to offer Guardians some retail therapy in Destiny, but where’s he decided to set up shop and, more importantly, is the Agent of the Nine selling anything worth the visit? That’s largely down to whether you’ve still got some Exotics left to find in order to fill out the holes in your collection, but there's one particular item on sale this week that's not been part of Xur's inventory for a good while.

Xur’s back for another weekend to offer Guardians some retail therapy in Destiny, but where’s he decided to set up shop and, more importantly, is the Agent of the Nine selling anything worth the visit? That’s largely down to whether you’ve still got some Exotics left to find in order to fill out the holes in your collection, but there’s one particular item on sale this week that’s not been part of Xur’s inventory for a good while.

The tentacle-faced merchant is taking a break from loitering in the Tower this week, having set up shop in the Reef instead, and as usual, he’s got a piece of Exotic gear on sale for each of the Hunter, Titan and Warlock classes as well as an Exotic weapon.

Check out the full inventory below:
Legacy engram (Guantlet) – 29 Strange Coins
Eternal Warrior (Titan Helmet) – 13 Strange Coins
Lucky Raspberry (Hunter Chest Armor) – 13 Strange Coins
Purifier Robes (Warlock Chest Armor) – 13 Strange Coins
Hard Light (Auto Rifle) – 17 Strange Coins
Three of Coins – 7 Strange Coins

Purifier Robes return to Xur’s shop for the first time in several months, so if you’ve yet to strike lucky with finding the armor piece by burning through your Three of Coins stock, here’s your chance. They may not be the best use of the Warlock Exotic slot (and a bit naff in PvE content), but Purifier Robes can certainly prove to be a boon if you’re a frequent visitor to the Crucible. Introduced alongside Destiny‘s The Dark Below expansion, their unique perk causes an eruption of light that blinds enemies whenever you use the Sunsinger subclass resurrection ability.

As for Hard Light, with the recent shake-up to the meta that finally sees shotguns lose their dominance, the Exotic Auto Rifle may be worth a try, although its relatively high recoil doesn’t quite offset its unique perk of allowing bullets to ricochet off walls. There’s certainly better Legendary alternatives out there for Auto Rifle lovers, so mull the purchase over before you take the plunge.
