Gamestop Offering 300-Themed DLC For God of War: Ascension

It's time to let loose the cries of "This...is...SPARTA!" again. Customers who preorder the upcoming God of War: Ascension at Gamestop will receive download codes at launch for an exclusive multiplayer character, who is none other than King Leonidas of Sparta, in the style of his portrayal in the comic and film 300.

It’s time to let loose the cries of “This…is…SPARTA!” again. Customers who preorder the upcoming God of War: Ascension at Gamestop will receive download codes at launch for an exclusive multiplayer character, who is none other than King Leonidas of Sparta, in the style of his portrayal in the comic and film 300.

Leonidas will have his full cape, helmet, and armor getup, along with his trusty spear and a unique slew of special moves. Pre-order customers will also get an exclusive double-sided God of War poster, coming in at 22″X28″.

God of War: Ascension is currently scheduled for a March 12, 2013 release in North America. We’ll keep you updated as more details are revealed.
