Set in the Japanese Taishõ Period, the series portrays the story of Tanjiro Kamado, a teenager haunted by his family’s death at the hands of demons. To avenge their deaths and prevent his surviving sister, Nezuko, from turning into a demon herself, Tanjiro sets on a journey to become a Demon Slayer.

The manga reached its epic conclusion in 2020, meaning that we already know the exact number of arcs in the series and what they’re called. Overall, Demon Slayer has six main arcs, but two of them are divided into sub-arcs, which leaves us with a total of 12. This feels like nothing compared to some other Shonen stories, so if you’re used to longer series, you’ll have little trouble getting through this one.

Would you like a thorough breakdown of every Demon Slayer arc? Then here you have them all listed in order, accompanied by information on which manga chapters and anime episodes they span over.

All ‘Demon Slayer’ arcs in order

  • Unwavering Resolve arc: Final Selection – Manga Chapters 1-9, Anime Episodes 1-5
  • Unwavering Resolve arc: Kidnapper’s Bog – Manga Chapters 10-13, Anime Episodes 6-7
  • Unwavering Resolve arc: Asakusa – Manga Chapters 14-19, Anime Episodes 8-10

  • Unwavering Resolve arc: Rehabilitation Training – Manga Chapters 45-53, Anime Episodes 22-26
    • Note: The Unwavering Resolve arc is divided into six sub-arcs.
  • Mugen Train arc – Manga Chapters 54-69, Anime Episodes 27-34
  • Entertainment District arc – Manga Chapters 70-97, Anime Episodes 34-44
  • Swordsmith Village arc – Manga Chapters 98-127, Anime Episodes 45-55
  • Hashira Training arc – Manga Chapters 128-136
  • Final Battle arc: Infinity Castle – Manga Chapters 137-183
  • Final Battle arc: Sunrise Countdown – Manga Chapters 184-205
    • Note: Infinity Castle and Sunrise Countdown are two sub-arcs inside the Final Battle Arc.

That’s all for Demon Slayer arcs! Now, if you want to rewatch a specific arc, or you’d rather read it in the manga, you can do so much more easily. If you’re waiting for the next arc in line to be adapted, you can expect it to be featured in the anime’s fourth season, which is currently in production.

Hopefully, we’ll get to watch it sooner rather than later.
