Arrow Season 7

New Photos Tease Arrow’s Documentary-Style 150th Episode

Arrow's reaching another milestone next week, as it's about to celebrate its 150th episode. And, as is tradition, the series will mark the special occasion with an installment that's out of the ordinary. Thought the 100th episode, which took place in a dream world, allowing for old cast members to reappear, was hard to beat? Well, how about a documentary-style episode narrated by Sideshow Bob?

Yup, episode 7×12 – titled “Emerald Archer” – will at least partly take the form of a documentary being made about the rise of vigilantes in Star City and will be narrated by Kelsey Grammer. We’ve also been teased that it’ll introduce a major new character, though we don’t know if this will be someone pulled from the comics, like Emiko Queen, or an original creation.

In the meantime, we can at least check out a new batch of promo images which give us a feel for what’s sure to be a very unique episode, with the images showing that Oliver Queen and his crew will be tailed during their crime-fighting by a host and a film crew. We bet that’s not going to cause any problems at all…

The synopsis for “Emerald Archer” also teases that a subplot will see Oliver having to deal with his son’s return from boarding school just when a new threat arrives on the scene. Which, according to the promo (above), is a vigilante who’s hunting other vigilantes.

The 150th episode of “Arrow” showcases a documentary entitled “The Hood and the rise of vigilantism” starring Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell), Felicity Smoak (Emily Bett Rickards), and the rest of Team Arrow. As a camera crew follows Oliver and team around to talk about their past as vigilantes and what the Green Arrow means to Star City, Oliver must also deal with William’s (guest star Jack Moore) return from boarding school as well as a new threat to the city. The episode will feature “documentary footage” captured by the BTS crew and interviews from those who have worked alongside the Green Arrow. The documentary is narrated by Kelsey Grammer.

150 episodes isn’t a milestone that many superhero shows have had the privilege to reach, so congrats to the Arrow team on their success. Here’s to the next 150 (going by the Arrowverse’s continued popularity, that might not be so far-fetched).
