Guess Chris Pratt wasn’t kidding about the worldwide aspect of Jurassic World 3 (or Jurassic World: Dominion, as we should be saying now). A new set image released via Colin Trevorrow’s Instagram account showcases something seldom seen in a Jurassic Park movie – snow. Click the link below to check out the wintery locale we’ll be visiting for this latest dino instalment:
Adam Driver, famed for performances in Star Wars and Marriage Story, has a role in upcoming Ridley Scott feature The Last Duel. The film will dramatize the last legally recognized duel fought in France, a trial by combat which took place in 1386. Driver will play one of the dueling knights.
What can stream on Amazon and Netflix? The Candyman can. Bet no one’s used that intro before. Probably. Ahead of the release of the fourth Candyman movie later this year, we’ve taken it upon ourselves to inform you the first three are all available to stream across Netflix and Amazon Prime. Well, not entirely ourselves, this got sourced from somewhere else (credit below). But you know, spreading the word.
You’ve probably caught the news, broken by Variety, that Steven Spielberg won’t be directing the fifth Indiana Jones film, prospectively titled Indiana Jones 5 (neat, eh?). Spielberg has helmed every movie in the franchise to this point, but now the chair looks set to be filled by someone else. The question on everyone’s lips is, why?
He’s everywhere isn’t he? I think I’ve written about him 3 times in the last week. The man I’m referring to is of course Jason Blum; producer, shaman, philanthropist. Blum has had a hand in many movies as master of horrors at Blumhouse Production, one of which was 2017’s wildly successful Get Out. As always with a big hit, clamour for more is banging at the door (enough with the rhymes). So, would Blum be interested in making a sequel? The answer is yes, but with a caveat. Not without Jordan Peele. That’s what he told Bloody Disgusting in this snippet:
When The Conjuring came out in 2013, film universes were still in their infancy. But off the back of Marvel’s burgeoning box office billions, seven years later we’re drowning in them. Dark Universe this, Monster Universe that, sometimes you just want to watch a movie in its own right. Let’s get back to the topic at hand before my cinematic universe rant derails this article for good.
The Master is back in Doctor Who. Actually, he came back in the season 12 opener, but he’s double back for the two-part finale which began on Sunday night. The character has a long history of surprise (and not-so surprise) reveals in the show, and it appears the BBC dropped yet another hint of his return that nobody noticed. Mostly nobody, at least.
Despite an at best decidedly mixed and at worst decidedly negative critical reaction, Venom was a box office success and a sequel was fast-tracked. Filming for Venom 2 is well underway now, making it high time for some on-set snaps to whet the appetite. That leads me seamlessly (he says knowingly) into this pristine photo of director/actor team Andy Serkis and Tom Hardy (along with writer Kelly Marcel), uploaded via the latter’s Instagram account.
If you were on social media over the weekend, you may have noticed the trail of set pics flooding out from location filming of The Batman. Well, the images keep on coming. Instagram user @arkhambat has posted these shots that grab a closer look at the new Batman suit. Click the link below to have a look at them for yourself (though obviously if you’re trying to avoid spoilers, best stick with me).
New horror is just weeks away. A Quiet Place Part II, the much-anticipated sequel to 2015’s A Quiet Place, is set for release on March 20. If you weren’t already hyped enough (you might not be. It’s possible), studio Paramount Pictures have released another trailer for it under the tagline “Fight”. You can see the trailer in the box above.
