The latest update (version 1.3) for Sins of a Solar Empire is now live. It introduces a major rewrite to the game's diplomacy features, which means that it will unfortunately erase all save games and replays when downloaded.
Get your Pokéballs ready because Super Pokémon Scramble will be heading to our North American shores on October 24. It's the sequel to the 2009 WiiWare brawler known as Pokémon Rumble, and will carry an altered version of that name when it releases here as Pokémon Rumble Blast.
It's a sad day for Mega Man Legends fans who were eagerly anticipating the release of Mega Man Legends 3 and its downloadable Prototype Version for the 3DS. Capcom has officially cancelled the entire project, so both games will unfortunately not be seeing the light of day.
Dig, excavate, repeat. Such is the life of a mining robot - particularly the two known as Rockford and Crystal from Boulder Dash XL. A reboot of the classic puzzle series from years past, it takes us back to a time where basic but intelligent design led to a lot of unforgettable gaming moments. Despite being rich in content, the basic premise is simple: dig your way through a grid-based world, picking up as many diamonds as necessary to unlock the exit, while trying to avoid shifting deadly boulders which like to fall straight down or sometimes to the side. It sounds a lot easier than it is, trust me. Then again, what would a puzzle game be without challenge?
Extreme sports fans are likely chomping at the bit in anticipation of hitting the slopes with the next entry in the SSX series. Its over-the-top arcade gameplay and realistic looking visuals look to be a phenomenal and entertaining mixture. That large group of extreme virtual athletes (myself included), will be happy to know that a demo is planned for release before the full game hits the slopes early next year. It'll certainly be nice to try out its new and adapted roster of boarders, extravagant tricks at dizzying heights and assortment of real-life locations early. Though, as can be expected, the selection of content will be limited within the trial slice.
Details are very scarce when it comes to the Assassin's Creed project for the Wii U. However, we have been told that it will not be Revelations, which was a hopeful rumor going around. Instead, it will be something different that will hopefully be just as interesting.
Although Child of Eden released last month to great reviews on the XBOX 360 with full Kinect functionality, those who only own Sony's current generation console were asked to wait to enter its surreal and vibrant digital world. Though that wait doesn't seem too far off now, as Ubisoft confirmed a September 20 release date for the North American PS3 version of the critically acclaimed musical shooter experience. European gamers can expect to become immersed in surreality three days later.
When Final Fantasy XIII released last year, it hit North American shores to mixed reviews. The game had some good moments, but also had some issues that bothered longtime fans of the series. Hopefully those issues will be resolved when its sequel, Final Fantasy XIII-2 is released. Carrying on the storyline from its predecessor, it's looking to please the series' fanatics around the world.
It looks like Nintendo will have a rather large presence at Comic-Con this weekend, which is certainly great news for us gamers. They'll be bringing a ton of new demos to the show, including titles from all of their major platforms, apart from the recently announced Wii U.
Better known simply as Master Chief, the masked badass known as John 117, is no stranger to attending grunt funerals. In fact, he's usually the cause of them. For some reason, those little guys never learn and they're always in the line of fire from a blaster, pistol or machine gun. Even worse, there's the odd plasma grenade that has no objection when asked to blow them to smithereens.
