Game of Thrones fans have wanted to see Emilia Clarke enter the superhero world for years and now it looks like the British actress has finally landed a role in the Marvel universe. Variety is reporting that Clarke is in the midst of "final negotiations" to join the cast of Secret Invasion, an upcoming Disney Plus TV series set in the MCU that's set to be headed by Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury and Ben Mendelsohn as Skrull leader Talos.

Kevin Feige Reportedly Hopes To Have Ryan Reynolds In The MCU For Years
The rest of Fox's X-Men universe may be dead, but Marvel Studios isn't going to dump the Deadpool franchise, which surprised everyone to become the most profitable corner of the XMCU. Deadpool 3 is in development now, and while we don't yet know how much it'll carry over from Fox's films, it's certain that Ryan Reynolds will return as Wade Wilson and he'll essentially be the same character we know and love, complete with an R-rating - a first for the MCU.

Now that Arrow's over, the "main" show of the Arrowverse is The Flash, which is currently airing its seventh season. Last year, however, star Grant Gustin revealed that this was the final run that he was contracted for, with COVID-19 having interrupted negotiations for him to come back for more. Last summer, the news broke that Michael Keaton was - against all the odds - returning as Batman for the first time in 30 years in The Flash movie.
