Rumors have been swirling over the past week that Warner Bros. has let Amber Heard go from Aquaman 2. Her ongoing legal battles with Johnny Depp were said not to be the reason for the firing, as the actress was allegedly removed due to failing her physical ahead of filming. Zoe Kravitz Reportedly Getting A Catwoman Spinoff Movie
Rest assured, Warner Bros. has big plans for The Batman universe. A trilogy starring Robert Pattinson's Dark Knight is expected, and a TV series about Gotham PD is already in development for HBO Max. Meanwhile, it can't be a coincidence that Matt Reeves' movie is filled with familiar characters from the DC universe like Colin Farrell's Penguin and Paul Dano's Riddler. Some spinoffs are no doubt in the offing, then. Like, for example, a solo film for Zoe Kravitz's Catwoman.

Star Wars’ Daisy Ridley Says She Understands The Rey Palpatine Backlash
We could be here all day listing controversial plot developments in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, but one of the biggest was the revelation that Rey was really Palpatine's granddaughter. While The Force Awakens had teased that the Jakku scavenger was related to a familiar character, The Last Jedi seemingly confirmed that her background wasn't important and it was Rey's own power that was. But this message sort of went out the window with TROS.

Brie Larson and Tessa Thompson's friendship is beloved by Marvel fans everywhere, but to date they haven't had much to do with each other in the MCU - outside of the brief A-Force scene in Avengers: Endgame. There's a lot of hope that Captain Marvel and Valkyrie will team up in a future entry of the franchise's Phase 4, then, and those keeping their fingers crossed might be excited to learn that Larson is teasing that she's working on a project with Thompson.

The Mandalorian Fans Furious Over Golden Globes Snub
The Golden Globes took place last night and, as always, some of the winners caused controversy online. The Best Television Series - Drama category, for instance, was a race between HBO's Lovecraft Country, Disney Plus' The Mandalorian and three Netflix shows - The Crown, Ozark and Ratched. Unsurprisingly, Netflix won out, with the aforementioned royal drama claiming the golden statuette. And Star Wars fans are not happy that Mando and Baby Yoda were snubbed.

Just as Superman & Lois is premiering on TV and Henry Cavill is about to return in Zack Snyder's Justice League, we received news last week that Warner Bros. is working on another Superman movie. Zack Snyder Calls Henry Cavill “Our Superman” Following Reboot News
The DC fandom was shocked last week when it was revealed that Warner Bros. is developing another Superman movie, but it'll be a reboot without the involvement of Henry Cavill. Fans had been calling for a Man of Steel 2 for years, though it looks like the British star is destined not to get another leading role as the Last Son of Krypton. Of course, the news has resulted in a wave of support for Cavill's portrayal on social media, and you can now count director Zack Snyder among his defenders.
