Despite the fact that we'll have to wait until Arrow actually premieres in order to find out the specifics of the mission the Monitor is sending Oliver Queen on, advance promotional materials are allowing for us to piece together the puzzle. And with the second episode set to air this fall being only three weeks away, the network has released a hearty helping of images taken from "Welcome to Hong Kong."
Even though not too many specifics are out there regarding the upcoming Loki TV series set to air on the Disney Plus streaming service, you'd think more relevant news should be trickling down before long. After all, it will premiere in the not too distant future, so it's not like we have to wait an eternity.
While it may be subjective as to which supporting characters and villains yet to be cast for The Batman excite fans most, I think we can all agree that none of us can wait to find out who's playing each and every one of them. Though some of you are understandably on pins and needles anticipating the reveal of the Penguin or Riddler, I'm looking forward to meeting our next Catwoman, as she's one of my favorite fictional characters overall.
Ever since Arrow's seventh season finale aired this past May, we've known it to be an absolute certainty that Oliver Queen will die during the "Crisis on Infinite Earths" crossover event. When it comes to specifics, however, we're just going to have to tune in to find out how it all goes down.
From what we've learned about "Crisis on Infinite Earths," the next Arrowverse crossover is really living up to its name. So far, it's become a veritable smorgasbord of Supermen, adding Supergirl's Tyler Hoechlin, Brandon Routh as Kingdom Come's Man of Steel, and Tom Welling as Smallville's iteration of Clark Kent. Dean Cain, meanwhile, has yet to be confirmed, but fingers remain crossed.
If anything, 2019 has proven to be one of the best years making up the history of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). For starters, each film released in the line during this calendar year - Captain Marvel, Avengers: Endgame and Spider-Man: Far From Home - have raked in a minimum of one billion dollars at the box office. Not only that, but the emotional rollercoaster ride that was Endgame managed to become the highest grossing movie of all time in the process.
Though the franchise has been on ice for some time, we keep hearing mention of Beverly Hills Cop 4 every now and then. Believe it or not, the film is still on the docket over in Tinseltown, and we finally have something concrete to report concerning the matter.
What I've come to gather about Matt Reeves' The Batman is that this particular filmmaker is going to flesh out an onscreen universe for the Dark Knight quicker than any other to precede it. As you may have heard, up to six villains are expected to appear. That's a lot for one picture, sure, but it all comes down to how well the screenplay is balanced.
Even if the most casual of moviegoers aren't directly familiar with the name of Todd Phillips, I'm sure they at least know him by his work. After all, the guy did direct flicks such as all three installments in The Hangover trilogy, Road Trip, Due Date, Starsky & Hutch and War Dogs. That's only a fraction of his resume, and I'd say it's pretty impressive.
Now that some of you have begun mapping out your "31 Days of Horror" agendas for display on social media, I'm sure that you'll incorporate several of the requisite viewings into your plans. After all, what would this month be without digesting certain franchises like A Nightmare on Elm Street, Friday the 13th and Halloween?
