If you're someone who has been looking forward to seeing Amityville: The Awakening, then odds are that you're about ready to put your fist through a wall - and understandably so. After first being unveiled all the way back in 2014, the latest entry in the legendary haunted house franchise has been subjected to suffering delay after delay after delay, the most recent of which seemingly put it in limbo.
Hot on the heels of a freshly released trailer comes a new wave of Jigsaw posters that give us a better idea of what to expect when we shuffle into cinemas this fall. Actually, the first poster found its way online earlier this month and caught our attention with its cryptic "Become Jigsaw" tagline, but you may agree that each of the six above make quite the impression.
Although Kara Zor-El herself has understandably remained front and center thus far on Supergirl, the producers haven't shied away from beefing up the ensemble just as other CW series have done by introducing additional heroes such as the Martian Manhunter, Mon-El, Miss Martian, the Guardian and even Superman himself.
So far, Supergirl has done a fine job when it comes to adapting a wide array of villains from comics to screen, sometimes feeling like a live action answer to Superman: The Animated Series. And while some baddies to exist within this universe are seemingly being introduced for the first time (Bizarro, Parasite, Metallo and Mr. Mxyzptlk immediately come to mind), there are some major players who have obviously been left to Kara's Boy Scout of a cousin.
By now, we’re pretty sure that there’s some kind of law put in place mandating that if Batman appears in any kind of live action movie, the Batmobile had better be in tow. And, having already been seen it in both Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice and Suicide Squad, it should come as no surprise that the Dark Knight is bringing his latest set of wheels along for Justice League.
With Disney and Warner Bros. raking in the cash thanks to their movies based around Marvel and DC characters, respectively, it only makes sense that other studios with similar privileges follow suit. To Fox's credit, they've found much success with the X-Men because, let's be honest, that's one of the few properties out there that's a universe unto itself.
To date, Gotham has certainly boasted no shortage of villains culled from the Batman mythos, already delivering on fully realized versions of the Penguin, Riddler and Mr. Freeze, to name a few. Not only that, but lesser known knaves such as the Electrocutioner have also put in appearances.
When it comes to Gotham, you could say that its big bads are of a much different breed from what you're used to seeing on other DC TV shows. To date, they've been quite conspiratorial and usually pave the way for something grander. In other words, Hugo Strange gave way to the Court of Owls, a shadowy cabal comprised of the city's socially elite, whom, as it turned out, served none other than Ra's al Ghul.
After Arrow season 5 left us on one of the series' greatest cliffhangers to date, which we've never hesitated referring to as a literally "explosive finale," the question on our minds and those of millions of other viewers is just who survived the blast Prometheus had been responsible for.
After the most recent season finale of Arrow left our heads spinning, we've been looking forward to hearing who'll be the next villain to pick up the ball after Prometheus, thus giving Oliver Queen and company countless more headaches. Well, we did learn yesterday to expect Ricardo Diaz/Richard Dragon to likely be the one to do so, but according to TV Guide Magazine's Comic-Con Special, he may be bringing some friends along for the ride.
