Although fans of everybody's favorite wallcrawler are no doubt counting down to the release Spider-Man: Homecoming, many are left to wonder what's the status of the long talked about spinoff films. It's no secret that Peter Parker boasts a gallery of villains and supporting characters that can rival those possessed by even Batman and the X-Men, so it begs the question: What is Sony waiting for?
With the third Wolverine movie having recently been revealed as being simply titled Logan, one would only surmise that Hugh Jackman's swan song as the iconic mutant will be deeply personal and get to the heart of the character. But, as with any superhero movie, one of the biggest questions on peoples' minds is in regard to which villain(s) he will battle.
Despite releasing various trailers and images hyping the season 2 premiere of Supergirl, The CW doesn't mind giving fans yet another reminder as they find themselves at the home stretch.
Regardless of whether they fancy themselves a vampire or lycan, any fan who was fortunate enough to attend the Underworld: Blood Wars panel at New York Comic Con not only got to see one hell of an awesome new trailer, but also got to be the first to feast their eyes on a gorgeous new poster that we're happy to present to you today.
This weekend at New York Comic Con, the cast of Gotham greeted a legion of devoted fans and answered a few burning questions surrounding the show's third season. As with any TV show based on a comic book, theories are forever rampant, so it's always welcome to get answers straight from the source, even if they can't always go into as much detail as desired.
As per usual, a DC animation panel held at a major convention bore some generous fruit. This time, it pertained to one of WB's most ambitious projects in the superhero genre: Justice League Dark.
With "Flashpoint" now behind us and the unprecedented four-night, four-show crossover looming, some fans have been looking to see just how and when Supergirl will be integrated into the Arrowverse. Well, unfortunately, she won't be - at least not in the immediate future.
With just under a week to go until the season 2 premiere of DC's Legends of Tomorrow, The CW has spoiled us with an amazing new extended trailer that hints at the veritable treasure trove of DC riches that the series' producers have access to. I really believe the first season only scratched the surface when it comes to what this show can achieve and, if this new promo video is any indication of what's to come, we're in for a wild 13 episodes.
Something that I've come to learn over the years has been to pay attention to any panel or premiere pertaining to a DC animated movie held at San Diego or New York Comic Con because they tend to yield some exciting news. Not surprisingly, last night's world premiere of Batman: Return of the Caped Crusaders at NYCC was followed by the announcement of a sequel: Batman vs. Two-Face.
Despite Gotham continuing to play with every toy in the box as it were, I must admit that Benedict Samuel's performance as Jervis Tetch/The Mad Hatter in this past Monday's episode was nothing short of brilliant. His various nuances and display of showmanship have no doubt placed him among the pantheon of stellar villainous performances seen in this young series. Considering that the character hadn't appeared in live action since the Batman TV show that aired in the 1960's, Samuel certainly did have enough room to make his mark on Tetch's legacy.
