By now, you're probably well aware of how massive the next major Arrowverse crossover, "Crisis on Infinite Earths," will be. Spanning five episodes across two quarters of broadcasting, this is undoubtedly one of the most ambitious undertakings in the history of prime time television. I know, we say that on an annual basis, but this one really takes the cake.
Those of you who are familiar with Rob Liefeld are well aware of how the co-creator of Deadpool is not only passionate about his work in the field of comic books, but he's also not afraid to mince words on social media. Having said that, one of his latest posts online sure is turning a lot of heads.
Now that Netflix has put the kibosh on The Punisher TV series, there remain many True Believers out there who hope they haven't seen the last of Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle. Though it's possible we may see him reprise the role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe one day, guarantees of this sort can never be made.
One reason why I think Tom Cavanagh has remained on The Flash for so long is that it truly allows him to explore what he can do as an actor. After first debuting as a Harrison Wells impostor in the form of Eobard Thawne AKA the Reverse-Flash, Cavanagh has gone on to portray a variety of Wells from alternate universes, namely Earth-2's Harry, Earth-19's H.R. and Earth-221's Sherloque.
From the time The Flash's pilot episode first aired back in the fall of 2014, we've had this future headline from April 25th, 2024 looming over our heads. Those of you who've been with the Scarlet Speedster on his journey thus far remember it to say he will vanish in a Crisis. This, of course, was done in tribute to Marv Wolfman and George Perez's masterwork, Crisis on Infinite Earths, which saw Barry Allen make the ultimate sacrifice in the DC epic.
After five months of waiting, the sixth season premiere of The Flash arrived tonight and it didn't disappoint. Well, to be honest, I wasn't entirely blown away, but it easily surpassed sister series Supergirl when it came to fall returns.
In addition to the big epics like "Invasion!," "Crisis on Earth-X," "Elseworlds" and the upcoming "Crisis on Infinite Earths," the Arrowverse has played host to numerous smaller scale crossovers throughout the years. After all, who could forget John Diggle or the Atom stopping by The Flash, or Sara Lance revisiting Arrow even after she migrated over to Legends of Tomorrow?
With the "Crisis on Infinite Earths" crossover well into principal photography, it seems like we're being treated to photos from the set every few days now. It's probably fair to assume the network won't cough up any official galleries pertaining to the prime time extravaganza for at least a few more weeks, but the stuff we've been seeing online as of late is enough to make any DC diehard pee themselves.
In just a matter of hours from the time of this writing, The Flash will have returned for its highly anticipated sixth season. When you stop to think about it, time has really flown by, as it seems like just yesterday this show kicked off. But even with a handful of years behind it, this fan favorite displays no signs of slowing down.
If I had to single out the two biggest and best horror franchises in all of gaming, I'd outright name Resident Evil and Silent Hill. Both captivated gamers for years with their intriguing storylines, incredible gameplay and countless scares. But while Resident Evil continues to thrive, Silent Hill doesn't look to be making a comeback anytime soon - unless, of course, Konami gets their sh!t together, and not many of us see that happening.
