When Colton Haynes made the surprise decision to leave Arrow last year, most of us assumed that that was the last we'd see of Roy Harper. After all, the character faked his death to protect the Green Arrow's identity and there was talk of Haynes looking to pursue a movie career. Well, regardless of all of that, he's back for an appearance in tonight's episode of the hit series!
We found out early last month that TNT had passed on a live-action Teen Titans TV series, leaving the fate of the DC Comics adaptation in doubt. After all, there was no mention of another network picking the series up, and so it seemed as if the plan for a show focusing on characters like Nightwing and Raven had been scrapped altogether by Warner Bros.
Iron Man 2 is widely considered a disappointment by fans, mostly because it spent far too much time trying to balance Tony Stark's story with a huge amount of set up for The Avengers.
Though it didn't get quite as much awards attention as it perhaps deserved, Danny Boyle's Steve Jobs was still one of the very best films of 2015. Featuring a tour de force performance from Michael Fassbender and some brilliant writing from Aaron Sorkin, it presented an exciting and insightful look into the life of its titular icon.
When Warner Bros. announced the slate for their DC Films Universe, the long rumoured Man of Steel sequel wasn't among them, though a press release promised that another solo adventure for Superman was in the works. Seeing as Batman also didn't get a firm date, it appears as if the studio is waiting to see how well Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice does before giving either of these heroes another solo adventure on the big screen.
A new look at Captain America: Civil War is expected to arrive during the Super Bowl this weekend, and it's very long overdue. While we've obviously already had a trailer and handful of posters, for the most part it's been leaked promo art which has been doing the rounds for Marvel's first Phase 3 release. This latest batch is great of course, but there's still no sign of Spider-Man.
Last year, Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures made history when they reached a deal which will see Spider-Man become part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Played by Tom Holland, the new Peter Parker will first show up in Captain America: Civil War before starring in a solo outing next year from director Jon Watts. As of right now, we still haven't seen so much as a single official image of the new Spider-Man, but the future still looks bright for the iconic superhero.
With Daredevil set to reach Netflix next month, Luke Cage is currently shooting and being lined up as the second of 2016's Marvel shows on the online streaming service. Principal photography began roughly six months ago, but the team behind this series is still hard at work as you can see from the images in the gallery above.
X-Men: Apocalypse is shaping up to be the biggest instalment in the franchise to date, and following Bryan Singer's triumphant return to the franchise with Days of Future Past, excitement is at an all-time high to see how it plays out.
For a long time, many fans were worried that Fox would mess up Deadpool, but the fact that it was given an R-Rating last year indicated that they were taking things in the right direction. Now, with early word from screenings proving to be overwhelmingly positive and box office tracking pointing to it being a hit, things are looking very good for the Merc with the Mouth.
