Deadline is reporting today that Netflix will be giving Jon Bernthal his own spinoff show focused on The Punisher, a character who will make his first appearance in season 2 of Daredevil before going on to headline his own series. Further details are non-existent at this point, but this is huge news.
The CW has released a new trailer for next week's midseason premiere of Arrow, and it's packed full of awesome action and plenty of intriguing reveals. The focus here is surprisingly very much on new villain Anarky, and it seems as if he's going to pose a real threat to Team Arrow as they come together to try and stop him from throwing Star City into complete chaos.
While Star Wars: The Force Awakens now looks set to fall to #2 or #3 at the North American box office this weekend, it remains not only the biggest movie of 2015, but one of the most successful releases in history. Analysts believe that the film will end up grossing upwards of $2 billion worldwide, a figure which should mean it tops Titanic but will fall slightly short of defeating Avatar.
Before the premiere of Disney XD's Star Wars Rebels, there was a lot of talk about the animated series tying into the events of The Force Awakens. That didn't really end up being the case, as rumours that The Inquisitors would somehow factor into the J.J. Abrams release proved to be false (though there are those who believe there's a link between them and the Knights of Ren).
WaterTower Music has today announced that the Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice soundtrack will be released on March 18th with contributions from both Hans Zimmer and Junkie XL, and as you can see in the image above, the deluxe packages are going to make for a very cool collector's item for fans (there's also a new look at Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, but no sign of Doomsday unfortunately).
Looks like Hawkeye and Scarlet Witch, I mean, Jeremy Renner and Elizabeth Olsen will be teaming up again. Only this time, it will be for a very different kind of film.
We're less than a week away from the series premiere of DC's Legends of Tomorrow, but The CW is already teasing us with details about the third instalment of the Arrow/The Flash spinoff. While it doesn't spoil anything major from the two part pilot (which will air over the course of two weeks), it does shed some light on some of the unique team-ups we should expect to see in the episode.
The last time we saw Ronnie Raymond in The Flash, he saved Central City by sacrificing himself in the Singularity which opened up when Barry Allen and the Reverse-Flash's time travel antics caused chaos. So, when Robbie Amell was spotted on the set of The CW series, fans took it as confirmation that their theories that Ronnie survived and took refuge on Earth-2 were correct.
Given the success of Sisters, it's easy to see why Tina Fey and Universal are keen on continuing to work together. While the actress' next outing won't include Amy Poehler, unfortunately, she's still got an equally as exciting co-star, as Deadline reports that Fey will star in the studio's comedy, titled Do Nothing Bitches, alongside Ronda Rousey.
Despite being seven films in, with an eighth instalment in production, Universal's Fast & Furious franchise is showing no signs of slowing down any time soon. Aside from that aforementioned eight outing, the studio is also looking to build an extended cinematic universe with the films (of course they are) and it's all going to start with a few prequels and spinoffs that they have planned.
