Inhumans appeared to be a priority for Marvel Studios at one point, but it's always been tough to try and picture where it would fit into their Cinematic Universe. Not quite as cosmic as the Guardians of the Galaxy and not exactly as grounded as The Avengers, it's a tough property to tackle, and the decision to introduce the concept of Inhumans into Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. years before the movie hits has been somewhat confusing given how far away it is.
The big screen adaptation of Assassin's Creed has yet to start filming, but with an impressive cast made up of names like Michael Fassbender and Marion Cotillard (along with their director from Macbeth), there's already a lot of reasons to be excited about what's to come in the movie. The awesome first image of the X-Men star suited up certainly helped to build excitement too, and with Ubisoft taking a key role in its development, many are hoping that Assassin's Creed will be the release which finally fixes the video game movie genre.
Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn is a huge comic book fan, so the fact that he crammed as many awesome Easter Eggs into that movie as possible really shouldn't come as too much of a surprise. Most of them came in the scenes featuring The Collector, but the biggest surprise didn't show up until after the credits.
Following his incredible run in Breaking Bad as Walter White, comic book fans inevitably started fantasy casting Bryan Cranston as pretty much any and every villain yet to find an actor to fill the role. The most popular suggestion however was Lex Luthor. While he's jokingly dismissed that in the past (mostly because he's pretty sure people only named him as a favourite due to him already having done such a great job as one bald villain), there's no denying that Cranston would be perfect for that role or any other he takes a fancy to in the superhero genre.
With Jerome's Gotham arc now wrapped up (fans were shocked to discover that he's not actually The Joker in this past Monday's episode), next week's instalment of the hit Fox series looks set to shake things up in a major way with the introduction of new characters who look set to have quite an impact on season two.
With an intriguing new threat and the return of the same great characters, Supernatural season eleven may not be a radical departure from what's come before, but it's as enjoyable as ever, and that alone is reason enough to keep watching.
One of the coolest surprises in Ant-Man came when a flashback revealed Janet Van Dyne as The Wasp. Of course, we never got to see beneath the mask due to the fact that Marvel hadn't cast a big name actress in the role, but her few seconds of screen time were still great fun for comic book fans.
When Marvel announced plans to bring Daredevil, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, and Jessica Jones to Netflix, there was a lot of excitement about the news from fans. However, it was clear from the start that the latter didn't have quite so much hype surrounding it, despite the fact that there had been rumours about A.K.A. Jessica Jones for years. The other three characters - particularly Daredevil - were ones fans had been desperate to see make their debuts in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but Jessica Jones? Not so much.
While Marvel Studios has beaten Waner Bros. to pretty much everything when it comes to superhero movies, they'll be a little behind them when it comes to launching a female-led franchise. That's because Wonder Woman is set to be released in 2017, with Captain Marvel not coming out until 2019.
The season two premiere of The Flash was a very busy episode, with much of it dedicated to setting up what's to come in The CW series this year (you can read our review by clicking here). However, despite getting a mention, there was no sign of new big bad Zoom. Well, that's clearly going to change in next week's instalment as the above promo gives us our first look at the villain. We even get to hear him speak!
